There are few things worse for your mental health than living every day in a life that you hate. Unfortunately, many people live this way. I am here to tell you that it is possible to live the life of your dreams. You get to live a life that makes you excited to get out of bed every day!
It is easy to get caught up in your routine, especially when it has been going on for years, or maybe even decades! Most people will stay in jobs, relationships, and situations that are causing them a great deal of unhappiness simply because they are scared to step into the unknown…
Are you afraid to take a risk and reach for your goals? That means that you are human. It is much more comfortable to remain in the routine that has kept you safe and supported. But, if your life is not bringing you a great deal of joy, then it is time for a change.

I want you to try something. Set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes. Close your eyes and begin picturing the most wonderful life that you could possibly imagine. Imagine the type of job you would have, what you would do every day, your hobbies, your friends and family. Let your imagination run wild until your timer goes off. Or, do it as long as you like!
Now that you know exactly what kind of life you want to live, it is time to build it!
The first step in building a life that you love is believing that you can! If you believe that your life right now is the best that you can do, then you are right. If you believe that you can have everything that you dream of and more, then you are right!
If you don't believe that you are worthy of a life that you love, then you are not open to all the amazing things that you deserve coming into your life.
Believe… and you will receive!
It would be great if we could just dream something up and it would appear, but life doesn't quite work like that.
Building your dream life is going to take work, but it is going to be worth it! Living a life that you hate takes just as much effort (if not more) than building a life that makes you happy.
Now that you have a vision of what you want your life to look like, figure out the steps that you need to take to make it happen.
Focus on one day at a time. One step at a time. Every day, wake up and ask yourself– What do I need to do today to get me closer to my dreams? Then… DO IT!
You will undoubtedly encounter many obstacles along your journey, but you must never give up!
Believe in your dream so wholeheartedly that no obstacle can stop you. Obstacles are an opportunity for you to learn and grow stronger! When you encounter a roadblock, instead of turning around, put on your thinking cap and figure out how to overcome it!
You deserve to live the life of your dreams, and so does everyone else!
Living a life that you love is going to improve your mental health, and improve the lives of everyone around you! It can often be scary to take a leap of faith and quit your job, start a new hobby, or move homes.
It is especially scary to step away from your security if you have a family to support, but if you don't show everyone around you that living a happy fulfilling life is the most important thing, then you are doing them and yourself a huge disservice.
You are strong, smart, and capable. Your dream life is waiting for you to reach out and take it… So what are you waiting for?!
